Shark Mitigation Systems will be at the 2016 Surf Expo in Orlando, exhibiting our shark deterrent visual design technology and Clever Buoy.
Shark Mitigation System's scientifically developed shark deterrent designs were covered on 60 minutes along with other technologies.
The shark deterrent designs are applied to wetsuits, surfboards and other watersport equipment to help reduce the chance of a shark attack.

Our Clever Buoy system will be deployed at the break where Australian pro-surfer, Mick Fanning, was attacked by a shark. The world's best surfers will be protected by the technology when they compete at the J-Bay Open at Jeffreys Bay, South Africa, next month.
Shark Mitigation Systems has been awarded the contract by the sport’s governing body, World Surf League, to deploy the Clever Buoy shark detection system for the event. This is the Company’s first international deployment for the supply of Clever Buoy, and follows the system’s highly successful pre-commercialisation trial at Sydney’s Bondi Beach from February to April, 2016.

The Clever Buoy has been endorsed by the Australian Professional Ocean Lifeguard Association (APOLA) as a viable shark detection and alert system.

In July 2015, Clever Buoy was featured in a episode of Bondi Rescue,where Reidsy and the lifeguard team joined SAMS to 'test' the Clever Buoy of Bondi Beach in Sydney, Australia.
In February 2014, Shark Mitigation Systems completed an agreement with technical swimsuit brand Arena for the global development of FINA-compliant triathlon suits and open-water swimming suits incorporating SAMS Technology, with products expected in the Arena range in 2015.
SAMS has just picked up the International ISPO Award for Best New Product 2014/ 2015.
